Magic

Our minds and senses are pretty feeble. Our eyes can only sense a small portion of the light spectrum. Our hearing is much poorer than animals' hearing. Our brains come with limitations also.

When we encounter something that is outside our range of senses or our ability to comprehend, it is declared a miracle or the work of a supreme being.

In the earliest times, man saw rain and snow fall from the sky. The sun and moon traveled across the sky. Lightening and thunder occurred in the sky. Therefore, there must be a sky god who did all this things.

Plagues were believed the work of a pissed-off god.

There is a saying: a sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic
