Missed driver's training

I missed my High School's driver training class because it was too full. It would be many months until the next one. Even though I was told I would be the last student accepted, a popular student arrived later and so I was bumped.

But, that meant I found commercial driver training. I finished that earlier than the other High School students, so when a popped up requiring someone with a driver's license, I was able to apply.

The job had me working for the Walton family office, multimillionaire entrepreneurs that owned a local dry cleaner, a string of photo kiosks, a shopping center, and other businesses. Each they asked me to expand my role, I said yes. My job description expanded quickly beyond delivery to many aspects of operations across their businesses.

I learned much about their outlooks of fearlessness, creating value, and creatively offering services. I also learned how they viewed and utilized money in their lives. Those lessons helped me immeasurably when later in life I chose to be a business owner with dozens of employees.
