Usability

Usability

A user-centred design method for improving the effectiveness of ‘ease-of-use’ of modern technology by focusing on users’ requirements and the measurement of users’ performance with prototype systems.

Takes a user centred view to influence the design although the final design may be moderated by other designer or perspectives (e.g. ROI).

All usability methods tend to includethe observation and measurement of users interacting with the equipment/product under being developed (or evaluated)
