Unit Mission Statement

The Mission is a summary statement of what our major stakeholders believe the institution is charged with accomplishing that is endorsed by the Board. It should be reviewed at the beginning of each strategic planning cycle and modified to match current conditions.

Goals derived reflect how we wish to improve our service of the mission and how we wish to change it. For example, the current Mission may state that the institution is open access. A goal may be to become a more selective access institution. Goals may also reflect higher standards of achievement for existing services or new ways to serve the Mission.

Goals are not exclusively related to the Mission or the Vision and may serve both as shown in Model Goal Area 1.
