It opens a "Vulcan" page. What do you mean "only online", the previous BB only worked online I think?

Yes and the normal BrainBox before did it locally.

But the new UltraBox - sending content and link is very awful.  It would be a better process for me sending it to the local brainboxfolder

If this is a version 0.5 that gets improved, I will like it much better. It is a bit clunky and slow right now. But I generally like to be able to save it into context, or at least add some sort of tag for context as I am saving.

Hi all,

Thanks for your feedback.

@RobOK, when you say that the current BrainBox Ultra extension is slow right now, are you referring to the intentional delay of 3 seconds when activating the extension or do you mean that bringing up the 'Options' page is taking a long time?

@HeinrichUnger, BrainBox Ultra does use the web client to provide the 'Options' page where you can customize what happens with the web content you are capturing. After the content has been captured, BrainBox automatically syncs and then when you activate the BrainBox feature on the desktop client, all the captured content appears there as expected. This behavior has not changed in BrainBox Ultra. After capturing the content, you should be able to simply go to the desktop client and bring up the BrainBox list by clicking on the BrainBox icon in the top right corner of the application screen and see all the latest captured content.

-Juan

The BrainBox browser extension depends on the web client in order to function. This is why it is able to to interact with the browser and to do things like capture content behind account logins.

If you want to skip the 3 second delay, simply click the arrow button.

Hi Juan thx, for Answer

sending it to Brainbox. Sends only the link to the Brainbox. But the option to have link and content is only available doing it in the browser online. So I will create a UltraBrainBoxBrain do capture it there and do a copy and past into right place in my other brains.

If you set the options to "Append to" or "Create child of", and check the boxes to include the content of your choice, when you check the box for "Hide these options next time", the next time that you click on the BrainBox Ultra extension icon in your browser, it will automatically make that addition to your brain without being directed to any other page. As mentioned by @Harlan, you can also bypass the 3 second wait time that is shown by default when activating the BrainBox Ultra extension, by just clicking on the small arrow button that appears in that BrainBox popup. This would essentially do the same action as the previous version of BrainBox where all you do is click on the BrainBox extension icon and then you can check for the captured content on the desktop client for TheBrain without needing to take any other action. In this case, all you would need to make sure is that your brain is either being synced automatically or you just manually sync your brain when on the desktop client so you can get the latest captured content from BrainBox Ultra.

-Juan
