Domain vault combines key domain protection services into one robust premium product. All the tools you need to protect your domain from hijacking, cyber threats, and other security risks that increase as your organization, and portfolio value, grow in size.

Human and machine protected

Benefit from the strengths of both human and machine verification. Changes will have to pass digital two-factor authentication, and also a consultation with our specially trained Domain Vault Customer Service team.

What is a Domain Vault, and why do I need it?

Domain Vault Silver ($1.88/mo) offers enhanced domain security for all TLDs at a lower price point than our Titanium plan. It gives access to our specialist support, and all DNS changes are monitored by a small team of experts, with final say from our executive team on emergency access requests. For more advanced domain protection, Domain Vault Titanium includes a Registry Lock for any .com or .net domain (more domains will be added soon). This means rigorous ID checks need to be carried out before nameservers can be changed, or before your domain can be transferred out of Namecheap.

Total control

Know exactly who has access to your domain and restrict actions that are critical for keeping the domain up and running.

Maximum domain security

Rest assured you’ve done everything in your power to protect one of your most valuable assets from hackers, hijacking, and other key threats.

Built around you

Domain Vault is a new product with other plans on the cards for future release. Tell us what you’d like them to include!

Will my domain be at risk if I don't buy Domain Vault?

Domains are protected by default, as Namecheap has all the necessary security measures in place. Consider this service as an extra layer of protection to give you peace of mind — not dissimilar to keeping your money in a bank account, or a precious family heirloom in a safe, instead of under the mattress.

How many domains are protected by Domain Vault?

Domain vault plans are each designed for one domain. There are currently no plans to secure multiple domains, although we will introduce them soon.

What happens after I sign up to Domain Vault Titanium?

An email is sent to you confirming we’ve started setting up the Registry Lock. This process can take up to 48 hours. Once the lock is enabled, we'll send a confirmation email. Once you’ve received this, you can be sure that no unauthorized changes will be made to your domain, and you can take advantage of our specialist support team at any time.
