Scenario 1: Nick after let request

Purple strikes the ball and attempts to clear to the wall.

Yellow also moves to the wall and is blocked by Purple.

Yellow requests a let as the ball comes off the front wall.  The reason could be view and or access.

After the let, the shot is into the nick. 

There is no need to debate the let.  The shot is not playable; a point to Purple.

Yellow’s request for the let does not erase the ball flight result.

If the ball were playable, then the merit of the let would be considered.

In this case, a playable ball would be a point to Yellow.

If the situation were different, Yellow could claim they would have reached the ball before the nick.  The referee would decide if Yellow would have had a play on the ball prior to the nick or not.
