General Qualifying from JH

I understand you are applying for some grants. When are your applications due and when would you like our design.

Age group of children using the space

What’s the maximum using the space at any given time. Do classes overlap

Would you like any swing or moving components included into the design. (spring riders, bouncers, swing, etc..)

Do you have any children on the spectrum or have varying abilities. If so what are they.

Research has found that movement particularly swings will bring children back to base line. If you have the space swings or some kind of spinning element might be good to include into the design.

Do you want to save any of the existing playground or should we start with a clean slate.

IF removal of old would they like us to provide a quotation for the removal and legal disposal of the existing equipment.

Are we responsible for the site work and surface preparation or is someone else responsible for this. (most likely she wants a complete budget so she can just apply for grant)

Ideally what type of surfacing would you like us to propose. As you know rubber surfacing can be extremely expensive. In general, an area of this size (approx. 3000sf) would be approx. 75K before we put any equipment in.

We can certainly do a combination of engineered woodfiber & rubber surfacing to keep budget in-tact.

Do you have a budget in mind. As an example, the project John used was 158K which included everything. Sitework, surfacing equipment, installation & fence.
