John Wesley
**John Wesley** 1703 – 1791 was an Anglican cleric and Christian theologian. John Wesley is largely credited, along with his brother Charles Wesley, with founding the Methodist movement, and he wrote *Primitive Physic*, a treatise on natural methods of cure which was reprinted widely from its publication date in 1747 and was most instrumental in the campaign
for natural medicine and healthy living.
John Wesley travelled extensively throughout America and England, his views on natural medicine paving the way for the teachings of the Natural Hygiene Movement and of Samuel Hahnemann.
