Ivermectin, marketed under the brand name Stromectol among others, is a medication that has garnered significant attention for its diverse applications in both human and veterinary medicine. Mechanism of Action
Ivermectin works by binding to glutamate-gated chloride channels in the nerve and muscle cells of parasites.
