A1 milk

Book: Devil in the Milk: Illness, Health and the Politics of A1 and A2 Milk

There are several different kinds of casein:

Alpha

Beta

Kappa

Beta casein has 2 types, A1 and A2

Beta Casein A1 - It involves a protein mutation at a certain chain of a peptide, where its believed thousands of years ago there was a genetic mutation at amino acid number 67 where proline (an amino acid), was replaced with histadine.

Just as gluten has a protein in it called gliadin which stimulates opiate response in the gut. We know that the first symptom of celiac in children is violent, abusive, uncontrolled rage, its because, if you get opiate stimulation over and over again, there’s trouble in both brain and gut.

A1 beta casein does not allow proper detoxification of the dairy protein and it forms something called BCM7 (beta-casomorphin). It acts like morphine or an opiate. It’s present in 99.9% of cow’s milk in America, Europe and even Australia. The original milk didn’t contain A1.

BCM7 is a contributor to intracellular and systemic inflammation

It’s considered the “devil in the milk” because it has an affect on 46 receptor sites of the brain, the gliadin in gluten affects 2 areas of the brain. Considered 23 times worse than gluten. In addition to having opioid effects, it has effects on the epithelial cells of the gut and other tissues.
