Hypophysitis

A rare condition which involves the acute or chronic inflammation of the pituitary gland or pituitary stalk. The most common form is lymphocytic hyophysitis which is believed to be an autoimmune disorder.

This can occur in Long Covid and as a reaction to the drug pembrolizumab

In hypophysitis, you may have multi-hormonal disorder and it can be a single clinical manifestation. So always expect inflammation, always take into account its possibility. Even if you cannot see redness, if you cannot see tumor, or calor, even if a patient has not complained of dolor because functio laesa may be a single manifestation.
