Red Raspberry, Prep & Dose

Optimization of ultrasound-assisted extraction of anthocyanins in red raspberries and identification of anthocyanins in extract using high-performance liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry.

An infusion of Raspberry leaf is the best all-around preparation. The tea is suited to mild digestive conditions from the simplest dyspepsia to diarrhea or constipation, plain or with spasms, and hence is ideal for children and babies. The infusion or tincture may be used for gargling, as a mouthwash or as a douche, where inflammation, swelling and discharge are present. During pregnancy it may be used as a substitute for all drinks, with accumulative beneficial effects on the uterus. If contractions occur too frequently as a result, however unlikely, it should be discontinued for two days and then smaller amounts taken daily afterwards.
