2. Details of traveling to Ukraine
Since February 2022, several dozen ENGin volunteers have visited Lviv and other cities all throughout Ukraine, and all have had a wonderful experience. As you begin to plan your trip, we encourage you to review the most up-to-date guidance for foreign visitors to Ukraine. A good place to start is the official portal Visit Ukraine (https://welcomeukraine.today ), which outlines current entry rules, requirements for medical/war-risk insurance, and general advice for safe travel under the ongoing security conditions.
We recommend having valid travel insurance (ideally including coverage for military risks), carrying your travel documents at all times, and monitoring official alerts once in the country.
If you have specific questions about logistics, safety, entry requirements, etc, we are happy to help. We’ll do our best to help ensure that your trip and volunteer experience run smoothly and safely.
3. Key steps of the preparation process
1. Confirm Your Visit Dates & Event Format
Please share your confirmed dates and preferred event format at least 1,5-2 months in advance so we can reserve the time and begin planning logistics.
2. Send Your Travel Details
Once your travel is booked, forward your flight/train itinerary and hotel information.
Ideal timing: at least 1 month before arrival.
3. Submit Your Detailed Event Plan & Materials (in case you decide to hold an event/workshop, etc.)
This includes your title, description, target audience, preferred schedule (Kyiv time, GMT +2 zone), and any slides, handouts, or activity outlines.
Ideal timing: at least 1 month before your visit.
4. Finalize the Event & Begin Promotion
After reviewing your full materials, we’ll finalize everything together and begin marketing through our channels. We remain available for any final questions.
