Session 37 (25-30 min) Hotels

• [Youth]: Say hello to your learner, then ask a few questions about how they are doing. (“How are you doing?” “How is your week going so far?” “Did you have a good day at school/university today?”)
• [Adults]: Say hello to your buddy, then ask a few questions about how they are doing. (“How is it going?” “How is your week going so far?” “Did you have a good day at work?” “Is there any news you would like to share?”)
• Ask your learner to greet you and ask you how you are doing.

• Tell your learner that in this session, you will be talking about hotels.
• Start by looking at the picture and discussing the questions on the slide.
• Encourage your buddy to use comparative and superlative structures. If necessary, show slide 4.

• Review/learn vocabulary about hotels.
• Go to this website and complete the vocabulary activity.

• Tell your learner that you are going to continue by speaking about staying at hotels.
• Take turns answering the questions on the slide.

In this session, there are fewer model answers so as to develop student’s independence when answering questions and expressing their opinions.
