mañjuśrī · འཇམ་དཔལ། · 'jam dpal/

Gentle Splendour. The bodhisattva-deity who embodies the wisdom of all the buddhas. In his most common form, he appears as youthful prince, orange in colour, with a sword in his right hand and a volume of scripture in his left. He is one of the Eight Great Close Sons.
