CQ PCT PM 3
Without a clearly defined project scope:
- There is no foundation upon which to make decisions regarding the time and cost tradeoffs that may be necessary when using a sequential project management approach (triple constraint triangle: scope, time and budget).
- The potential for scope creep is increased, caused by adding problems or opportunities to the responsibilities of the project.
- It will not be possible to accurately identify the groups and individuals who will be impacted by the project, which in turn will make it difficult to manage the people side of the change.
