Pre-set search strings

Do Your Own Searching

Pre-set search strings are intended to help you explore the latest information on a topic covered in this Core Knowledge External Brain. Pre-set search strings can include:

• • Twitter Hashtag Searches
  • Google Searches
  • Google Scholar Searches
  • YouTube Searches
  • Vimeo Searches
  • Quora.com Searches
  • Reddit Searches
  • Jerry's Brain

If you are initially exploring this Core Knowledge External Brain on-line you will see that pre-set search terms show up as URLs that you have to click on, and that will open up new browser Tab.

But if you download the Core Knowledge External Brain, pre-set search terms work completely differently. You can simply hover your mouse over a pre-set search term to see the search executed right here on your screen without having to leave the External Brain, and without having to then close all the browser Tabs you might otherwise open. It's a huge time-saver, and you're much more likely to take advantage of pre-set search terms.

You can see how pre-set search terms work best in this 1 minute video.
