🩸 ABOUT THE SERIES
Revival is a supernatural horror and crime mystery comic book series created by Tim Seeley and Mike Norton.
In the quiet rural community of Wausau, Wisconsin, an inexplicable event changes the lives of its inhabitants forever.
For one extraordinary day, the dead return to life.
Unlike traditional zombies, these resurrected individuals — known as Revivers — retain their memories, personalities, and outward appearance. They are seemingly ordinary people, except for their remarkable resistance to death.
As the authorities impose a quarantine, Wausau descends into fear, suspicion, religious fanaticism, political unrest, and social division.
Police Officer Dana Cypress becomes responsible for investigating crimes involving the recently revived. Her work takes a deeply personal turn when her younger sister Em is revealed to be one of the Revivers.
Together, the sisters are drawn into a disturbing mystery involving murder, family secrets, supernatural forces, and the unexplained origin of the resurrection phenomenon.
Against the bleak winter landscapes of Wisconsin, Revival combines small-town crime drama with body horror, psychological tension, religious symbolism, and an examination of mortality.
Rather than presenting the undead as mindless monsters, the series explores how ordinary people react when the natural boundary between life and death suddenly disappears.
At its heart, Revival is a story about family, grief, identity, fear, and the terrible consequences of humanity's inability to accept death.
