🚔 ABOUT THE SERIES
Top 10 is an award-winning science-fiction crime series created by Alan Moore, Gene Ha, and Zander Cannon for the America's Best Comics imprint.
Set in Neopolis, an extraordinary metropolis populated almost entirely by superheroes, mutants, robots, aliens, monsters, and other superpowered beings, the series follows the officers of the city's Tenth Police Precinct.
In a world where extraordinary abilities are commonplace, even the most mundane police investigation can involve alien technology, interdimensional criminals, magical creatures, or impossible scientific phenomena.
The central characters include Jeff Smax, Robyn "Toybox" Slinger, Captain Steve Traynor, Lieutenant Peregrine, the robotic detective Joe Pi, and the other unusual members of Precinct 10.
Combining the structure of a traditional police procedural with superhero deconstruction, social satire, and elaborate visual storytelling, Top 10 explores crime, prejudice, corruption, identity, and the everyday consequences of living in a fantastical society.
The larger collection includes the original series, a fantasy spin-off, a historical prequel, and two later continuations.
The original Top 10 won the 2001 Eisner Award for Best Continuing Series.

02 — SMAX
2003–2004 · 5 issues · 128 pages
Writer: Alan Moore
Artist: Zander Cannon
Following the events of the original series, Jeff Smax returns to his home dimension, accompanied by his partner Robyn Slinger.
Unlike the technologically advanced city of Neopolis, Smax's homeland is a traditional fantasy world populated by dragons, magical creatures, mythical kingdoms, and bizarre fairy-tale characters.
As Jeff confronts his troubled family history and the secrets of his past, Robyn discovers an entirely different side of her mysterious partner.
A humorous yet emotionally complex fantasy adventure that expands Smax's character beyond the original police series.
