⚡ ABOUT THE SERIES
Miracleman, originally known as Marvelman, is one of the most influential and revolutionary works in modern comic-book history.
Created by Mick Anglo in 1954 as a traditional British superhero, the character was radically reinvented by Alan Moore in 1982.
The story follows Michael Moran, a middle-aged journalist who unexpectedly remembers the word KIMOTA, transforming himself into Miracleman — a nearly omnipotent superhuman whose forgotten past conceals a terrifying secret.
What begins as a superhero revival develops into an increasingly dark exploration of identity, power, morality, violence, and the relationship between humanity and godlike beings.
Moore's story dismantles traditional superhero conventions, examining the catastrophic consequences of introducing extraordinary power into the real world.
Following Moore's conclusion, Neil Gaiman and Mark Buckingham continued the saga, shifting the focus toward ordinary people attempting to live in a world transformed into a seemingly perfect utopia.
Together, these works explore a central philosophical question:
What happens to humanity when gods become real?
