🔮 ABOUT THE SERIES
Hexed is a supernatural horror comic book saga written by Michael Alan Nelson, expanding the dark occult mythology originally established in his Lovecraftian series Fall of Cthulhu.
The story follows Luci Jennifer Inacio Das Neves, better known as Lucifer, a resourceful young thief who specializes in stealing dangerous magical artifacts from the supernatural underworld.
Operating in a city whose ordinary appearance conceals a vast network of occult societies, forgotten gods, cursed objects, and supernatural predators, Lucifer survives through intelligence, deception, and an extraordinary willingness to confront forces far beyond her understanding.
Her closest relationship is with Val Brisendine, an art-gallery owner who serves as both her employer and surrogate mother.
Lucifer's assignments involve haunted paintings, demonic possessions, forbidden rituals, and objects whose powers can reshape reality or unleash imprisoned supernatural entities.
One of the most important figures in her life is the Harlot, a mysterious being associated with the Dreamlands, forbidden knowledge, and the exchange of secrets.
As Lucifer becomes entangled in the affairs of powerful supernatural families, her adventures take her across dimensions and into the mysterious realms known as the Shade and the Aether.
Her enemies include Madame Cymbaline and Yves, members of an ancient supernatural family whose conflict threatens everyone Lucifer cares about.
Throughout the series, Lucifer must confront her own mysterious origins and the increasingly terrible price of the knowledge she seeks.
Blending occult detective fiction, supernatural adventure, body horror, and dark fantasy, Hexed explores the consequences of forbidden knowledge, the nature of identity, the bonds of chosen family, and the question of whether every secret deserves to be uncovered.
Although it shares characters and mythology with Fall of Cthulhu, Hexed develops its own central storyline and can be read as a distinct supernatural horror saga.
