Gideon Falls is an award-winning horror comic book series created by Jeff Lemire and Andrea Sorrentino, blending psychological terror, supernatural mystery, religious symbolism, and mind-bending explorations of reality.
The story follows two seemingly unrelated men whose lives become connected through the terrifying legend of the Black Barn.
Norton Sinclair is a troubled recluse obsessively collecting discarded objects from the streets of a large city. Convinced that the fragments conceal a hidden pattern, he searches for evidence of a mysterious structure that should not exist.
Father Fred Burke is a disillusioned Catholic priest assigned to the rural town of Gideon Falls. His arrival coincides with a series of disturbing events, violent murders, and increasingly inexplicable phenomena.
Both men gradually uncover traces of the Black Barn — an impossible building that has appeared throughout history, leaving madness, suffering, and death in its wake.
As their investigations deepen, the boundaries between past and present, sanity and madness, and entirely different realities begin to collapse.
At the heart of the mystery stands the Laughing Man, a malevolent presence whose influence reaches far beyond the small town.
Through an increasingly intricate narrative and Andrea Sorrentino's experimental visual storytelling, Gideon Falls explores obsession, faith, psychological trauma, the nature of evil, and the terrifying possibility that reality is far less stable than it appears.
