Open in TheBrain

Update to #98602

https://thebrain.zendesk.com/agent/tickets/98602

Hello Eric,

Thank you for the detailed answers, that helps a lot. Since WebGL is working in Safari, the cube appears correctly, your brains open normally on app.thebrain.com, and you’re on a personal machine with no intentional changes to WebGL, WebGPU, or JavaScript, we now have a clearer picture of the environment.

To complete the information our engineering team needs, I’d like to confirm just two remaining details:

  1. Has this Mac ever had any system extensions or security or optimization tools installed that could affect graphics or rendering? For example antivirus tools, privacy filters, screen-overlay utilities, GPU managers, or anything that could intercept system rendering.
  2. After reproducing the crash once more, could you send the latest Output.log?
  3. You can find it at:
  4. Macintosh HD › Users › [your username] › .TheBrain › v9 › Logs › Output.log (or ~/.TheBrain/v9/Logs/Output.log)

Once we have these last pieces, I’ll update our engineering team with the complete profile so we can determine why TheBrain 15 cannot access the same rendering layer that Safari and TheBrain 14 use successfully. We will circle back as needed.

Best regards,

John
