Thank you for following up and for sharing the screenshots, that really helped clarify the situation.

What you’re describing is exactly how it should work: when multiple Thoughts share the same name, TheBrain normally appends the parent Thought name (e.g. < Wildlife, Animals or < Plants) to give you context and let you pick the right one.

From your second screenshot, it looks like this context information isn’t showing up, which does seem like a bug. We’re testing it on our side to see if we can replicate the behavior, and I’ve flagged it with the team.

In the meantime, could you please try running a Data Integrity Scan (File > Utilities > Data Integrity Scan) on that Brain? This will check for and fix any inconsistencies in the database that might be contributing to the issue.
