https://thebrain.zendesk.com/agent/tickets/95697
Hello Ben,
Thank you for your patience! Based on our review, this issue can likely be resolved by performing a MetaDB reset. Please follow the steps below:
- Navigate to the MetaDB folder:
- Open File Explorer and go to:
C:\Users\[your username]\AppData\Local\TheBrain\MetaDB. - If you don’t see the AppDatafolder, enable hidden files:
- Open File Explorer, click View at the top, then select Options.
- Under the View tab, check Show hidden files, folders, and drives and click OK.
- Open File Explorer and go to:
- Rename the MetaDB file:
- Locate the file named TheBrainMeta.db.
- Right-click on it and rename it to TheBrainMeta.db.old.
- Restart TheBrain:
- Launch TheBrain and log in again. This will create a fresh MetaDB and should resolve the issue.
If you continue to experience crashes or other issues after the reset, please let us know and send a new Output.log file so we can investigate further.
Thank you for your cooperation, and we’ll do our best to assist you!
Best regards,
John
