Update to Gil’s issue (questions) #95739
https://thebrain.zendesk.com/agent/tickets/95739
Hello Gil,
Thank you for your patience and for following through with the indexing process. It’s great to hear that the indexing has now completed successfully!
To address your questions:
- Size of the Index Folder:
The size of the Index folder can vary between machines, and this is expected. For example, if one machine has downloaded 3 of your Brains and another has downloaded 4, the size of the Index folder will naturally differ. Even if the number of Brains is the same across devices, slight variations in size are normal and not indicative of any issues.
- Backing Up Index Files:
When backing up your Brain to a .brz file, the Index files are not included. However, this does not affect the ability to restore and use the Brain on another device. The Index files are rebuilt automatically when needed.
- Disparity in Index Folder Sizes:
As mentioned, the difference in size between machines is not a concern. This is part of how TheBrain structures its data across devices.
If you have any further questions or notice anything unusual, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Best regards,
John
