Sorting and themes not working - sometimes! #98283

Thank you very much for the detailed report, video, and logs, super helpful.

We saw your forum follow-up that sorting is fixed for you in v15.0.65, great to hear. Let’s zero in on the theming issue you showed (theme applies on a v15-created thought, but reverts/ignores on a v14-origin thought).

To reproduce this internally, could you share a minimal Brain that demonstrates the problem?

Two easy options:

1. Minimal test Brain
2. • Create a new, empty Brain.
3. • From the affected Brain, copy the parent/thought(s) and relevant children (Edit > Copy Thoughts), then paste into the new Brain (Edit > Paste Thoughts).
4. • Create a BrainZip via File > Backup Brain (.brz) and send that .brz to us.
6. Full Brain (if you prefer)
7. • File > Backup Brain (.brz) on the affected Brain and send the .brz.

A few quick clarifiers that will help:

• Does it happen with any theme, or only specific themes?

• Does it “snap back” immediately on navigation, or only after a refresh/reopen?

• In the same Brain, if you create a brand-new (v15) thought and apply a theme, then navigate to an older (v14-origin) thought, does it revert every time?

Once we have a small reproducer, we’ll test against the latest builds and follow up with findings.
