Woops! Thanks for clarifying!

On macOS keyboards, the # symbol is normally typed using Shift + 3 (not Option + 3, which produces £ on UK layouts).

If that doesn’t work inside TheBrain, it’s likely that your macOS keyboard layout isn’t matching your physical keyboard.

Please check this under System Settings › Keyboard › Input Sources and make sure you’ve selected the correct layout (e.g., “British – PC” or “U.S.” depending on your key markings). After confirming, TheBrain should recognize the # key normally.

Let me know if it still behaves differently after switching layouts.
