Feature request iOS #94709
https://thebrain.zendesk.com/agent/tickets/94709
Hi Gerhard,
Thank you for your kind words!
Regarding your first question, are you trying to copy a file attachment from one brain (Plex A) to another (Plex B)? If so, you’ll need to save the file to your local files first and then copy it to the other Plex, as iOS does not have a clipboard feature for this. You can definitely submit this as a feature request.
As for your PNG request, yes, you can insert PNG images into the notes area either by copy-pasting or drag-and-dropping.
Let's first ensure that there are no settings causing any issues.

Please follow these steps:
- Go to Options (top-right of your brain) >Preferences> Behavior.
- Under Content, find the option "On drag and drop of files"and ensure it’s set to Copy dropped files.
Drag and Drop Method:
- Download the image file from your desktop and drop it directly into the text section of your brain.
- If the image is saved in a specific folder, open that folder, locate the image file, and simply drag and drop it into the text section, just like the previous step.
Copy-Paste Method.
- Simply copy-pasting the image directly to the text section works as well! and save the image file to your desktop.
- Resize TheBrain window from fullscreen to a smaller size.
- Drag and drop :)
Please make sure that you drag and drop into the notes section under the title, if you do it at the title of the note, it will not work properly
For your request to enlarge the drop-down menu in the notes area, please visit our feature request portal at https://thebrain.uservoice.com to formally submit your request for further consideration. I recommend searching the existing requests first to see if this has already been suggested and adding your tally to it, as requests with higher numbers hold more value.
We appreciate your feedback about the crashes when switching apps—it’s good to hear that it’s happening less frequently, but we’ll continue to monitor this.
Wishing you all the best,
John
