Thank you very much for the detailed explanation and for attaching both the log file and the PDF, much appreciated.

From what you described, it sounds like what you’re trying to do is re-attach the PDF to your thought so the link reflects the updated file path after your Windows upgrade.

The easiest way to do this in TheBrain 13 is:

• Drag and drop the PDF onto the thought while holding down the Alt key.
• Or, open the thought’s notes and use Attach > Link to File from the toolbar.

Either method will create a new file link pointing to the correct location on your system.

If this isn’t working as expected on your end, could you please send us a short screen recording of the steps you’re taking? That will help us see what you’re seeing and guide you further.
