Thank you for your question.

While we don’t currently have formal documentation for this setting in the mobile app, I’m happy to explain how “Light Sync Attachments” works.

When this option is enabled, TheBrain will not download all attachments during sync. Instead, it only retrieves them on demand, when you actually access the file. This significantly reduces the amount of data transferred during the initial sync, which is especially helpful when working with larger Brains or limited bandwidth. It also allows you to download your Brain remotely much faster, since it skips pulling down heavy attachments up front.
