What you’re describing may be related to how the iPad version adjusts its layout when switching between read mode and edit mode, but to be certain, I’d like to take a look at exactly what you’re seeing on your device.

When you have a moment, could you send a quick screenshot or screen recording showing the full-width view, and then how the window narrows when you start editing? That will let me confirm whether this is expected behavior on the current iPad build or something we should investigate further.
