     05:30:21 - kls@stueven.eu: Hello I am currently still using TB13 and saw today that my licence expires in 26 days on 15.02.2025. Am I allowed to download version 14 now and by when do I have to have done this? What does the licence expiry mean for me? I only use the desktop app locally, without using the cloud storage.Kind regardsKlaus Stüven;
     05:31:05 - ysuratwala@thebrain.com: Hello!

Thank you for reaching out to us;

     05:31:17 - ysuratwala@thebrain.com: May I please have your email associated with your account please?;
     05:31:41 - ysuratwala@thebrain.com: Oops, sorry for the redundant doubling ...;
     05:33:15 - kls@stueven.eu: Hello Vanya, my e-Mail-Address is 'kls@stueven.eu'.;
     05:34:52 - kls@stueven.eu: sorry, Yahya, my eyes getting old. i have not read your name correctly.;
     05:35:19 - ysuratwala@thebrain.com: It's totally fine :) No worries;
     05:35:43 - ysuratwala@thebrain.com: I just checked, you have an active Pro combo license;
     05:36:09 - ysuratwala@thebrain.com: Which means you are able to download Version 14 and have a perpetual license to it (v14);
     05:36:38 - ysuratwala@thebrain.com: And since your subscription is active, you can try our older versions of the brain if you want to, it will sync till Version 10;
     05:37:28 - ysuratwala@thebrain.com: When it says expiry, it refers to the cloud services (that is an active subscription), this is different from the perpetual license that you have now, that is indefinite.;
     05:39:52 - ysuratwala@thebrain.com: Same goes, your pepetual license v14 allows you to use older versions even if your pro combo has expired, though ... only locally;
     05:43:36 - kls@stueven.eu: great, Yahya. If i understood you correctly, i am allowed to install v14 after the expiration of my license (2025-02-15). The only effect for me is thati do not have your support and the cloud-service, which i do not use.;
     05:45:09 - ysuratwala@thebrain.com: You are right, you will not have access to Sync and AI features as far as I know, since those are subscription-based. You can still use your brain locally.

But you will still have my (our) support :) We are committed to serve you and produce the best application for your needs;

     05:45:37 - ysuratwala@thebrain.com: And that support is as long as we stand :);
     05:46:24 - ysuratwala@thebrain.com: Oh, please make sure to regularly or periodically backup your local files as a .brz, then perhaps move them to a flash drive, just in case anything happens, you can import the brz and continue your work;
     05:46:57 - ysuratwala@thebrain.com: This is essential since you would not have sync services after the expiry of your subscription;
     05:51:52 - kls@stueven.eu: thank you for your last advice. I do a backup manually, at least once a month. Perhaps you can give me the information i have not found in your forum / blog: is there a way to finish TB, do a complete backup and start TB again - and this automaticly done with command-line commands?;
     05:56:22 - ysuratwala@thebrain.com: I am not sure if I quite understand, do you mean closing the app when you say "finish TB"?;
     05:56:53 - ysuratwala@thebrain.com: I am wondering why you would need to close and relaunch the app after creating a .brz;
     05:57:20 - ysuratwala@thebrain.com: Can you please give me more information on it? Much appreciated :);
     06:04:24 - kls@stueven.eu: sure, Yahya. i want to build a scheduled task, which allows my windows-computer to automatically backup-up my Brain-Data.. So the first step (in my opinion is to asure i am not active and changing data when the backup starts. So the TB-app first has be closed - than the backup can start and than TB can relaunched alfte the *.brz-File is created for that day;
     06:06:16 - kls@stueven.eu: sorry for my english. so many mistakes. ...;
     06:07:13 - kls@stueven.eu: hope you can filter my idea from that text.;
     06:07:59 - ysuratwala@thebrain.com: You don't have to apologize, your English is fine :) I won't judge you for that;
     06:08:30 - ysuratwala@thebrain.com: Currently testing from my end, please give me a moment;
     06:09:10 - kls@stueven.eu: sure, your welcome;
     06:12:58 - ysuratwala@thebrain.com: To create a .brz backup, the app needs to be running, and there isn’t a way to initiate the process outside of the app, such as via the command line. However, here’s an alternative:

You can back up your Brains manually by saving the entire contents of the Brains folder and other data located in:

C:\Users[your username]\AppData\Local\TheBrain.

For simplicity and consistency, you may also want to consider using third-party backup software to manage this process. It’s often more efficient and ensures all necessary files are preserved.;

     06:19:25 - kls@stueven.eu: ok, Yahya. Thank you for your answer. for my complete backup i am using "VEEAM". Is there a possibility to get our complete chat as a copy to my e-mail-adress: kls@stueven.eu ? Thank you Yahya for your time and knowledge. Klaus;
     06:20:30 - ysuratwala@thebrain.com: Sure! I will follow it up :) You are most welcome, have a wonderful week! God Bless.;
     06:20:53 - kls@stueven.eu: bye-bye;
