FAO MATT V8 to V9

Reece,

I've confirmed that you now have a v9 license assigned to your account (with the corresponding email address of reece.jon@gmail.com)

You can now log into v9 and see that you have a Pro license.

True, your older brains will not automatically be available. You'll need to click on File > Import and select either the .brain file or a .brainzip (created in 8) to import them and update their databases to be compatible with v9. If you have any trouble with this process, please zip up your existing .brain file and _brain folder and send to us. We can convert these brain databases over to a .brz file which will easily import into v9.

Thank you,

Matt

Hi Matt,

Thanks for your help.

I see I can go online and confirm that as far as your server is concerned I have a Pro license for V.9; however I can't find a way to convince my local TheBrain application of that fact. If I try to import a Brain, it tells me that that option is only available in the Pro version:

... so the local application is clearly not "aware" that I have a Pro license.

Here is a shot of one of the routes I have tried. You can see that I am logged in online, and also that the suggested way of activating the license does not exist.

Does v.14 work offline, without syncing to anywhere when I do go online? What discount could you offer me for the v14, please?

Hello Jonathan,

Though we could not see it clearly in the image you sent since it is cropped, we highly suspect that you are not yet logged into your account via the desktop application. If you wouldn't mind, kindly check/click on the upper right corner of TheBrain, where there is a circle, to confirm whether you are signed in or not.

Best regards,

John
