Thank you for the detailed description and for the screenshot, which helps a lot.

When macOS switches from a dual-display setup back to a single screen, it can sometimes leave application windows positioned partially outside the visible area. To help us determine whether this is something we can improve on our side or a macOS window-management limitation, could you please let me know:

• Which macOS version you’re running
• Whether this happens every time you disconnect the external display, or only occasionally
• Whether “Displays have separate Spaces” is enabled (System Settings → Desktop & Dock)

In the meantime, using Option + the green window button is the correct way to force macOS to reflow the window back into view, as you’ve already discovered.

Once I have those details, I can advise on next steps.
