Thank you for reaching out, and I’m sorry to hear about the instability you’ve been experiencing.

If you'd like to revert to a more stable version, you can safely uninstall TheBrain 14 from your Mac and reinstall it fresh from our website. This won’t delete your Brain data, since the Brains folder is stored separately.

After reinstalling, please go to:

Options > Preferences > System

…and check the Update Channel setting.

If it’s currently set to Alpha, that would explain the instability, Alpha builds include the latest features and updates, but they’re still under testing and may not be fully stable or bug-free. Switching to the Stable channel will ensure you’re using the most reliable release.

If you're still seeing crashes on the stable version, please send us a log file so we can take a closer look. Here’s how:

1. Open TheBrain.
2. Click Help > Open Log Directory.
3. Locate the file called output.log.
4. Attach it to your reply here.
