Update to user cannot access to local or sync brain #95416
https://thebrain.zendesk.com/agent/tickets/95416
Hello,
Thank you for reaching out again.
The process you mentioned, deleting everything related to TheBrain and performing a fresh installation, is essentially what we’re achieving with the Brains folder rename and the MetaDB reset steps. If you’ve already completed these steps, your installation should now be in a fresh state, as if it were newly installed, and this should solve the corrupt brains folder 🙂 (Please do confirm though if it's all okay).
It seems the current issue might be related to your inability to log in due to connectivity issues with api.thebrain.com. Since other devices like your iPad/iPhone on the same network can connect successfully, the problem seems isolated to your MacBook Pro.
Typically, this can be caused by security settings, such as:
- Firewalls
- Antivirus software
- VPN or Proxy configurations
Could you please check if any of these are active on your MacBook Pro and temporarily disable them or allow TheBrain through them? Once disabled, try logging in again to see if the issue resolved.
If the problem persists, it would be helpful if you could send us a new log file that includes your attempt to log in. This will help us gather more information and determine the exact cause of the issue.
Let me know how it goes, and I’ll be here to assist further! Thank you for your patience and cooperation, we are near to resolving this 🙂
Best regards,
John
