Undo not possible v14? #98220

Thank you very much for your thoughtful message, much appreciated. Please rest assured that v14 will not be neglected; maintenance releases will continue alongside work on v15.

On your points:

• Undo: In our tests, undo is still working in v14.111.0, though there’s only a short window where Ctrl+Z can be applied. Once that window passes, deletes are permanent. As a safer workflow, it’s best to use Forget Thought first, then review and delete in bulk using the Reports feature. That way, nothing is lost unexpectedly.

• Linking to existing thoughts: When you type part of a name, TheBrain should scan for similar thoughts before creating a new one. If this seems inconsistent, please try running a Data Integrity Check and a Rebuild Brain Index (File > Utilities) to ensure results come up quickly.

• YouTube URLs: We’re aware that YouTube recently changed how their URLs are formatted. This is why you’re seeing cryptic IDs as thought names. A fix for this is already in progress and will be included in the next v14 update.

• Undo issue after linking/deleting: If you continue to see undo not functioning after running the integrity check and index rebuild, could you please send us a short screen recording showing the behavior? That will help us replicate it on our end and work toward a fix.
