Random crash macos #98622

https://thebrain.zendesk.com/agent/tickets/98622

Hello Frank,

Thank you for sending that report file, that one contains system-level crash data, but we’ll need TheBrain’s own log file to understand what caused the crash.

Could you please send us your Output.log file? You can find it here:

macOS:

  1. Open Finder.
  2. Click Go › Go to Folder.
  3. Type /.TheBrain (without quotes).
  4. Go to v9 › Logs.
  5. Attach the Output.log file located in that folder.
  6. (Note: the folder name “v9” is correct, that’s where the logs are stored even for newer versions.)

It would also help to know what you were doing right before the crash, for example, opening a specific Brain, editing a note, or performing a search. If the issue happens repeatedly, please let us know the steps so we can try to reproduce it.

Once we have that log, we’ll review it and circle back with findings.

Best regards,

John
