Cannot open in default browser in TB #98594

Thank you for reaching out.

TheBrain uses your system’s default web browser for opening links. However, a recent Windows 11 update appears to cause some systems to open links in Microsoft Edge even when Chrome (or another browser) is set as default.

This behavior seems to come from a Windows-level issue rather than TheBrain itself, and our team is monitoring it closely. Even the registry entries sometimes show Edge being enforced as the default despite user settings.

Hopefully Microsoft addresses this in an upcoming update, but we’ll keep an eye on it from our side as well.
