Ticket title: v14 Windows, Dragging folder with custom icon fails with Access Denied #99763
https://thebrain.zendesk.com/agent/tickets/99763
Hello Mick,
Thank you for the logs. They were very helpful.
From the error report, it appears that Windows is denying access when TheBrain attempts to remove the original folder path during the drag and drop operation.
This can happen if the drag and drop behavior is set to Move rather than Copy, or if the folder has special attributes such as a custom Windows icon.
Could you please try the following:
• Go to Settings
• User
• General
• Check the option for “On file folder drag and drop”
• Set it to Copy instead of Move
Then try dragging the same folder again.
As a secondary test, you could also try copying the folder to a new location without the custom icon and drag that version in.
Please let me know what you observe.
Best regards,
John
