Unfortunately, TheBrain 8 can no longer be activated. The old registration server (webbrain.com) has been decommissioned long ago, and the offline activation process depended on that same server to generate the key file. Because of this, version 8 activations, online or offline, are no longer possible.

The good news is that your data remains fully compatible with newer versions. You can open or import your Brain 8 backups (.brainzip or .brz files) directly into TheBrain 9 and later releases.

Regarding the $79 USD discounted upgrade, that was a limited-time offer valid for 30 days following your free upgrade to version 9. Since that promotion has expired, the current available option is to upgrade to the TheBrain Pro Combo license and service for $159 USD. This includes a perpetual license for TheBrain 14, one year of Cloud Services, and a free upgrade to TheBrain 15 once it’s released.
