Ah! That explains it.

Thank you for confirming you’re on 14.0.113.0.

The color-changing cloud icon and expanded Sync dropdown I mentioned are features introduced in version 15. They are not present in version 14, which is why you’re only seeing the black icon.

In v14:

• The sync icon does not change color dynamically.
• There is no expanded dropdown showing detailed sync status.
• Sync failures are typically indicated through error prompts rather than persistent visual indicators.

Version 14 is currently in maintenance mode, meaning we continue to support stability and fixes, but new interface enhancements, such as improved sync visibility, are being implemented in v15 only.

So in this case, it’s not that the icon failed to change color, that functionality simply doesn’t exist in v14.

That said, your feedback about sync visibility is absolutely valid. The improved indicators in v15 were introduced precisely because of scenarios like the one you described.

If you ever decide to evaluate v15, you would see the enhanced sync status controls there.
