YT video configuration error 153 within the Brain notes #98487

Thank you for sharing the screenshot and for checking things on your end.

The “Error 153 – Video player configuration error” message comes from YouTube’s side, not from TheBrain. It usually appears when a video’s uploader disables embedding or changes its privacy or regional settings. In those cases, the built-in viewer can’t play the video, even though it still opens normally on youtube.com.

The workaround you mentioned (opening the link externally) is currently the only option, as we don’t have control over YouTube’s embed restrictions. Other videos that allow embedding should continue to play correctly within TheBrain.
