Update on #94455
https://thebrain.zendesk.com/agent/tickets/94455
Hello again JP,
Thank you for clarifying the situation. It seems that version 13.0.4 does have some issues with the new iOS 18 update, which can cause the search bar and other elements to become invisible.
Normally I'd recommend downloading Deku which is the go-to solution but since that large brain file is causing it to crash, I suggest you utilize app.thebrain.com from your iPad's web browser as a temporary solution.
I appreciate your offer to send a .brz file. I will consult with my team to determine if it will be beneficial for our investigation. Do send it right away!
Also, could you let me know if your iPad is set to a language other than English? This might be a potential factor in the issues you're experiencing.
Thank you again for your patience as we continue to locate and determine the problem and potential fix, and feel free to reach out if you have any further questions!
Best regards,
John

Hello Chase,
I wanted to provide you with an update regarding the customer's issue with Deku and TheBrain:
- The customer is experiencing crashes specifically with one large brain file.
- The official store version (13.0.4) is functioning on all their iPads but has the common issue of no search bar, which appears to be linked to the iOS 18 upgrade.
- Deku is crashing on their iPad Mini 6th gen (iOS 17.6.1) and their larger iPad M4 (iOS 18.1.6).
- He attempted to install Deku on an old iPad, where the large brain file worked for a while before crashing later that night.
- Interestingly, Deku on the iPad Mini crashed but allowed them to open other smaller brain files without issues.
- The customer suspects the problem might be related to the large brain file and has offered to send the .brz for further analysis.
Let me know how you'd like to proceed,
You're the best!,
Yahya
