Android brain search issue from Peter #96773
https://thebrain.zendesk.com/agent/tickets/96773
Hello Peter,
Thank you for the detailed explanation and for including the screen recording, it really helps clarify the behavior you're seeing.
From what I observed, your Brain includes a thought named “Brittney”, which is showing up first when you search for “Brit.” That’s expected behavior, as it's a closer match to the input. It’s also possible that the thought you're looking for, like “Travel, Great Brittain and W...”is appearing lower in the search results list. If you haven’t already, please try scrolling through the results to check whether it’s listed further down.
To ensure everything is indexed properly, I recommend rebuilding the brain index on your Android device. Here's how to do that:
- Open the Brain you're using
- Tap the three horizontal lines in the top-left corner
- Select More Actions
- Tap Rebuild Brain Index
Once the indexing is complete, try searching again and see if the results improve.
Also, just to confirm that the search logic is identical between Android and Desktop, so there shouldn’t be any functional difference in the results when searching the same Brain on both platforms.
Let me know how it goes or if you'd like help walking through any of the steps.
Best regards,
John
