Marc Kastner, Linux Beta Reports Received #100529
https://thebrain.zendesk.com/agent/tickets/100529
Hello Marc,
Thank you for the very thorough report, and thank you for testing the Linux beta across several Gentoo systems. This kind of detailed feedback is very helpful, especially with the Linux release still being worked through.
I received the Output.log and diagnostic bundle. The team is reviewing the light sync issue, including the crash that happens after the “Downloading all light synced attachments” popup reaches 100 percent.
For now, please avoid closing that popup if it gets stuck, since that appears to be connected to the crash. I understand this is only a temporary workaround while the team reviews the issue.
For the CPU usage and thought switching lag, could you please send just a few details for the machine where the issue is most noticeable?
• Desktop environment or window manager
• Whether you are using Wayland or X11
• Approximate CPU usage after TheBrain has been left open for a few minutes with no active sync or download running
Regarding the “Personal” Brain with the consistent delay, yes, you can share it with support@thebrain.com if you are comfortable doing so. Reader access is okay as a starting point.
Thank you again for taking the time to document all of this so clearly.
Best regards,
John
