About TheBrain Technologies #99928
https://thebrain.zendesk.com/agent/tickets/99928
Hello Shawn,
It was great speaking with you earlier, and I appreciate your time.
Just to recap the key points we discussed:
What TheBrain Does
TheBrain helps organize information in a dynamic, associative structure rather than traditional folders. Thoughts, files, notes, and links can all be connected, making it easier to navigate complex information and workflows.
Data Control and Security
You have full control over your data:
• TheBrain can be used fully locally with no cloud sync
• Your data remains on your machine unless you choose to enable syncing
• This makes it suitable for environments where data must remain internal
Cloud Security (if syncing is used)
TheBrain Cloud is designed with strong security practices:
• All data transfer uses HTTPS encryption
• Data at rest (notes, attachments, images) is encrypted
• Hosted on Microsoft Azure infrastructure
• Passwords are salted and hashed
• Attachments and notes are encrypted using 256-bit AES
• No third-party vendors have access to your data
• No administrative access to user data without proper credentials

AI and Privacy
AI features are optional and fully controllable:
• AI can be disabled entirely
• Only the content of the Topic Name field is sent when AI is used
• Optional context includes parent or child thought names only if explicitly selected
• No full Brain data is shared or scanned
• Data is not used for model training
Team Brain and Enterprise Use
For organizational workflows:
• Team Brain enables shared Brains across users
• Supports controlled collaboration and structured knowledge sharing
• We can discuss deployment approaches and infrastructure alignment depending on your requirements
