Potential intel iris graphics bug (Michael Long) #95699
https://thebrain.zendesk.com/agent/tickets/95699
Hello again, Michael,
Thank you for your update! It’s good to hear that the issue seems to have resolved itself. However, based on the behavior you described, this could be related to a known graphics driver issue, such as the Intel Iris Xe driver bug.
If you run into the problem again, please try the following:
- Disable Hardware Rendering:
- Launch TheBrain.
- Navigate to Options > Preferences > Experimental and check the box for Disable Hardware Rendering.
- Test to see if the issue resolves.
- If disabling hardware rendering resolves the problem:
- It’s likely due to a graphics driver issue. Please check if your system uses an Intel Iris Xe CPU and update your drivers to the latest version. You can download the latest driver here:
Intel Arc & Iris Xe Graphics Driver Update.
- Re-enable Hardware Rendering:
- After updating the drivers, uncheck the Disable Hardware Rendering option in Preferences > Experimental, as leaving it disabled can significantly impact performance.
If the issue persists after these steps, please let us know. We can collect more detailed system information to help identify the root cause.
Thank you for your cooperation, and feel free to reach out if you have any questions or need further assistance.
Best regards,
John
